Which type of boat should i get?

I am going to get a boat with my friend next summer and we are thinking about a 15 ft boston whaler sport or a zodiac rover rib 340. We are looking to cruise around and stuff and we dont want to spend a lot of money (probably over $4500). Thank youWhich type of boat should i get?
You've selected two very nice boats for a first boat. I would suggest that you may not be able to find a suitable Boston Whaler for the price limit you set of $4500.00. You may be able to find a nice used one if you shop really hard but these boats hold their value. You will also need a trailer in good shape, an outboard and a vehicle that can two and launch this boat and a place to store it.



The Zodiac is also a nice choice. You should be able to find a used one and a motor in that price range. Since it is inflatable you have less of a storage problem and it could make transporting much easier too. Setup and launching shouldn't be too hard and with some practice you'll be able to do this quickly.



I would check around with the brokerages, Craigslist and keep an eye out for these, or similar, boats and then go look at a few. It's one thing to see photos and a price and another to actually see the real item for sale. You may find something similar that will do the job and save you some money as well!
